The Whitworth Fund Forever
Creating a permanent legacy of mind and heart
Since 1890, Whitworth has held fast to its founding mission of providing "an education of mind and heart" through rigorous intellectual inquiry guided by dedicated Christian scholars. In order to make this mission a reality, we rely on gifts to The Whitworth Fund to help pay for scholarships for the 95 percent of students receiving financial aid, as well as for campus operating expenses.
Your gifts to The Whitworth Fund demonstrate that you care about Whitworth's future. What if you could continue your annual support forever? Not only is it possible – it's easy. Here's an example:
Let's say, for example, that you currently give $1,000 each year to Whitworth. By bequeathing $20,000 to the Whitworth University Endowment Fund, you will ensure that your $1,000 yearly gift will continue every year in perpetuity. The table below illustrates this for several levels of giving.
Bequests can come to Whitworth in various ways. One of the easiest ways is to direct your attorney to include Whitworth University in your will when you create or revise it. Another simple way is to name Whitworth as the beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k) or life insurance policy.
