Whitworth University celebrated the inauguration of Beck A. Taylor as its 18th president on Oct. 15, 2010. In a week-long series of events, culminating in President Taylor's inaugural address, the university community explored what it has meant, and continues to mean, for Whitworth to be a "Community of Courage." The inauguration week events challenged faculty, staff, students and the larger university community to engage society's most important issues with the intellectual rigor and love of Christ for which Whitworth has always been known.
