Graduation form to the registrar's office immediately. Without an Application for Graduation on file,
your name will not appear in the commencement program. |
| [ ] Complete all degree requirements by
May 16, 2008. |
| [ ] If all degree requirements will not be met by May 16, submit petition for permission to
participate in the 2008 ceremony. |
| [ ] If you are eligible for graduation but are not planning to attend the Commencement ceremony, petition for permission to be
in absentia. |
| [ ] Make certain all the requirements listed
on your Academic Evaluation Report reflect the correct degree program
and current progress toward degree completion. |
| [ ] For education majors, complete and submit
an Education Certification Plan to the Whitworth Education Certification Office.

| [ ] Upon receipt
of order information from Royal T, Inc., place order for cap and gown. |
| [ ] Obtain a clearance form from the Whitworth Student Accounting Office; this form must be presented at time of cap-and-gown pick-up. |
| [ ] If you have a Perkins Loan, arrange
an exit interview with Joanna Scott, (509) 777-4323, in the business
office. |
| [ ] Encourage your family to make accommodation
arrangements soon, as commencement ceremonies for other institutions will be held the same weekend as Whitworth's. Hotels and motels in and near Spokane will fill up quickly. |
| [ ] Make sure the registrar's office has
all addresses needed for sending out graduation information to your parent(s)
and/or spouse. |
| [ ] Order commencement announcements from
Royal T, Inc., online (see FAQ's). |
| [ ] Go over all graduation activities as
listed in the Commencement Week brochure (to be sent out in March)
with your family, and make necessary reservations. |
| [ ] After you receive your Commencement Week brochure in March, make arrangements for child care with
the alumni office (509-777-3799, 1-800-532-4668 or alumni@whitworth.edu). |
| [ ] If you plan to dine at a local restaurant after
the ceremony, be sure to make reservations. |
