Here is a list of your responsibilities as a Whitworth Wellness Challenge participant.
The contest runs from April 16 to April 29.
You are responsible for summarizing your weekly totals and then inputting that information on the web site (link below) or filling out the appropriate forms and submitting them to the Scotford Fitness Center.
Once a week you must submit your weekly totals via e-mail to Todd Sandberg (e-mail below). Submit these no later than Tuesday.
First week by the April 24
Second week by May 1
Please save a copy of your weekly activity logs. If there are any errors in our final calculations then we may ask you to submit your activity log sheets to us.
Part two on the form, general health and nutrition, has two lines which ask one to consume at least 3 fruits and vegetables every day. Each serving should be a cup equivalent. For more information on equivalencies check out this link: www.fruitsandveggiesmatter.gov. Then select "What counts as a cup?" on the menu located on the left side of the screen. Make sure you record what you eat!!
Part two also required you to consume "quality" carbohydrates and proteins. Go to www.choosemyplate.gov and click on the "My Plate" tab on the top toolbar. From there choose carbohydrates that are listed as whole grain. Choose from the quality protein foods listed there as well. (If you don't see the foods list scroll down). Make sure you record what you eat!!
At the conclusion of the program please submit your forms no later than May 1. We will tally the results so we can announce the prize winners by Friday, May 4.
