Stewart Hall
Constructed in 1963, Stewart was named in honor of the Rev. Calvin W.
Stewart, Whitworth president from 1890-98.
The "suite" design of Stewart Hall distinguishes it from other halls
on campus, allowing a united and intentional living community among its
residents.
Stewart Hall has one floor for 35 men and one floor for 35 women. Stewart's
unique room design offers a suite configuration with one room for each
of its two pair of roommates plus a common room shared by all four students.
This gives the residents of Stewart the luxury of having several choices
in room configuration. In 2000, the renovation of Stewart provided the
residents with new carpet and lounge furniture and the only indoor bicycle
storage on campus.
