College or University: How should I list Whitworth on my résumé? This has been a very popular alumni question, prompting our office to research other institutions that have undergone name changes. Protocol allows alumni to use either the institution's name at the time of graduation or the institution's current name on their résumé and application materials.

The Whitworth Career Services Office recommends use of Whitworth University on job-search documents to avoid potential employer or background check confusion. Please contact our office (careerservices@whitworth.edu) with questions regarding your résumé and application portfolio documents.
