Hayford is the NWC Coach of the Year for the second time in his six seasons leading the Pirates. He was also coach of the year in 2003, also the last time he coached the team to a Northwest Conference title.

Williams, a senior point guard from Colbert (Mead HS) anchored the Pirate attack all season, averaging 7.4 assists per game for a team that leads all of NCAA Division III in team field goal percentage (53.1%). He added 11.1 points per game and made 46.3% of his three point attempts. He is only the second player in Whitworth history to surpass 1,000 career points and 500 career assists. He was selected first on six of the nine NWC coaches' ballots

Symes, a junior forward from Palo Alto, Calif. (Delta Coll.), was Whitworth's second leading scorer this season. He averaged 14.9 points per game and made 53.9% of his field goal attempts. He added 5.3 rebounds per contest. He scored a career high 27 points on January 26th in a win at Pacific.

Jones, a senior guard from Manchester, England (Univ. of Saint Mary), was named to the First Team despite missing six games in the middle of the year with a wrist injury. He still led the Bucs in scoring average at 16.6 points per game. He made 44.3% of his three pointers and was second on the team with 30 steals.

Hasenfus, a senior post from Lodi, Calif. (Delta Coll.), led Whitworth in rebounding this season with an average of 6.5 per game to go along with 12.3 points per game. He was the NWC Player of the Week on January 22nd after he averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds in wins over Whitman and Willamette.

The NWC co-champion Pirates are 22-3 this season and will host Lewis & Clark College on Saturday at 4:00 pm in the NWC tournament final. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
