Complete All-NWC Women's Basketball Team SPOKANE, Wash. -- In their first season as starters on the Whitworth College women's basketball team, Emily Hendrickson was named to the All-Northwest Conference Second Team and Holly Ridings was an Honorable Mention selection to the All-NWC team.
Hendrickson (So., F, Valleyford, Wash. - Freeman HS), who is 5'-6", led the Pirates in scoring (13.2 points per game) and rebounding (6.2 rebounds per game) this season, despite often playing against bigger players at power forward. She got to the free throw line more than any other Whitworth player and made 86% (84-98) of her attempts. She was the NWC Player of the Week on January 30th. Holly Ridings (So., G, Spokane, Wash. - Shadle Park HS) was second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points per game. She made 34% of her three point attempts this season and made two three pointers per contest. She led the team in steals with 41 and was second in assists with 50. Ridings was the NWC Player of the Week on January 2nd. The pair were part of a brand new starting five for the Pirates this season. Whitworth finished the year with a record of 13-11.
