Complete Box Score and Play by Play SALEM, Ore. -- (From Geoff Sugerman, Willamette SID) Emily Hendrickson poured in 21 points as the Whitworth Pirates came back from a half-time deficit to defeat the Willamette University womens basketball team 58-48 in a Northwest Conference game Friday night at the Cone Field House. With losses by George Fox and Lewis & Clark on Friday night, the Pirates take over sole possession of third place in the NWC standings. Rebekah Wells poured in 14 points for Willamette, but the Pirates went on an 11-2 run midway through the second half to defeat the upset-minded Bearcats. The Bearcats pulled within one point at 41-40 on Maggie Wilkens driving lay-up. But Teresa Zeitler scored seven straight points to key the Pirates run. Zeitler finished with nine points, three assists and four rebounds. Holly ridings scored 11 points and Amy Ridings added ten points and nine rebounds for the Pirates. Wells had her career-high as a Bearcat. The sophomore was 7-13 from the field and the only Bearcat to score in double figures. Jennifer Bell had nine points and six rebounds. Kari Woody, Laura Payne and Tracie Nygaard each had seven points. Woody added six rebounds and three assists. The Pirates move to 13-6 on the season, 7-4 in the NWC and face a key battle at Lewis & Clark on Saturday.
