Spokane, Wash. -- Junior place kicker Cameron Collings became the only Whitworth College football player named to an All-America team in 2004 when he was selected to the D3football.com third team over the weekend. Collings (Spokane, Wash. - Mead HS) led all Northwest Conference kickers in points scored (66, 7.3 per game). He had the best numbers for field goals in terms of total made (7) and percentage (7/9 for 78%). He also had the best PAT percentage (45/48 for 94%). His field goals of 53 yards against Eastern Oregon and 48 yards against PLU are the longest of the season in the NWC. The D3football.com team was announced at this weekend's Stagg Bowl, the NCAA Division III championship game. Linfield College of the NWC won the game 28-21 over Mary Hardin-Baylor.
