The game will kick off at Noon. No advance tickets will be sold, and all admission will be available at the gate. The cost will be $10 for adults, and $5 for students, children and seniors. Per NCAA regulations, no passes can be honored. All seating at the Whitworth Pine Bowl is general admission. Whitworth is 10-0 and won its first outright Northwest Conference title with a 6-0 record. The Pirates are making their second-ever NCAA Division III playoff appearance. Whitworth met PLU in the first round in 2001. Occidental is 9-0 and won its third straight Southern California Intercollegiate Athletics Conference title with a 6-0 record. The Tigers are led by All-American QB Andy Collins. Whitworth and Occidental have never played in football. The winner of Saturday's game will play the winner of a contest between St. John's (Minn.) and Central (Iowa) the following weekend. |
