Whitworth Game to be Carried on SWX

First Ever Live TV Broadcast for the Pirates

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Whitworth University will have its Homecoming football game with Chapman University broadcast live on local cable station SWX on Saturday. It is the first-ever live broadcast of a Whitworth game.

This is the first of three Pirate home games that SWX will carry this season. The other two games will be October 10th vs. Linfield and October 31st vs. Pacific Lutheran.

Sam Adams will provide play by play, while Bill Ames gives color commentary on the broadcast.

SWX stands for Sports & Weather Right Now and is owned by local NBC affilliate KHQ channel 6. SWX Right Now can be seen both over-the-air and through some cable services in the Spokane-Coeur d-Alene, Kennewick-Pasco-Richland, and Yakima viewership areas. In the Spokane-Coeur d'Alane area, SWX is found on digital channel 6.2, on Comcast channel 115 in Spokane and Time Warner channel 306 in North Idaho.
