MISSION, Ore. - After suffering through wind gusts of over 30 miles per hour on Sunday, Whitworth put together four under-par rounds on Monday to come from behind and tie Linfield for the NWC Men's Spring Classic championship at the Wildhorse Resort Golf Course. Jordan Carter also came from behind to win medallist honors by carding a 68 today to finish with a two round total of 143.

Whitworth trailed Linfield by four strokes (307-311) after the first round, before posting a second round team score of 279 to tie the Wildcats with a score of 590. In addition to Jordan Carter winning the individual championship, Sean Thompson finished fourth by scoring 148. He shot a one-under round of 71 on Monday. Collin Fling fired a 69 on Monday to finish 153 overall. Andrew Parrott was also under par on Monday (71) after struggling with the wind on Sunday (86). Whitworth now has earned 13.5 points toward the Northwest Conference title. Linfield has 10.5 and Pacific and PLU both have 10 points. The point totals are combined results from the NWC Fall and Spring Classics. The tournaments count 50% toward the final conference standings. The final 50% will be determined at the NWC Tournament on April 22-23 at Aspen Lakes in Sisters, Oregon.
