CLARKSTON, Wash. - Competing against several nationally-ranked NAIA golf programs, Whitworth University finished eighth in the men's tournament at the Lewis-Clark State College Invitational at Clarkston Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. The Pirate women's team was incomplete due to class schedule conflicts.

Jeff Aly led the Pirates with a two-round total of 153 (+9). Cameron Whittle was close behind with a score of 156. DJ Kovach of Rocky Mountain College (68-75–143) was the medalist.

Mariesa Stombaugh (89-85–174) was the only Whitworth woman to complete both rounds of the tournament.

The final men's team scores were: 1, Victoria 295-295-590. 2, tie, Spokane CC 304-292–596 and Rocky Mountain 288-308–596. 4, Lewis-Clark State 304-303–607. 5, Northwest Nazarene 313-305–618. 6, tie, Lethbridge #1 314-305–619, and North Idaho College 316-303–619. 8, Whitworth 313-314–627, 9, Lethbridge #2 321-309–630. 10, tie, Concordia 309-323–632. and Pacific (Ore.) 315-317–632.
