Babar, the center-back in Whitworth's three-player defensive back line, led the team in minutes played (1,831) and was a key reason the team finished with a 0.59 team goals-against average this season. She was named Second Team All-Northwest Conference last month as well.

Oakes, who was a First Team All-Region choice in 2008, led the Pirates offensively with seven goals and six assists in 2009. Five of Oakes' goals this fall were the match-winning scores.

Cosand, a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, also played on Whitworth's outstanding defensive line this fall. She was second on the team in total minutes played (1,727).

Whitworth concluded the season with a 17-3 overall record and finished second in the NWC at 14-2, one game behind fourth-ranked Puget Sound. The 17 victories is the second most in school history and the Pirates went 9-1 on the road this season - the best-ever road record at Whitworth.
