Pirates Cannot Convert Despite Controlling Play WHEATON, Ill. - Despite controlling play throughout the match, Whitworth could not find the back of the net and fell 1-0 to Dubuque in the Bob Baptista women's soccer tournament on Friday morning at Wheaton College. The Pirates fell to 0-2, while the Spartans improved to 2-0. Dubuque will meet Wheaton on Saturday and the winner of that match will claim the tournament title. But the only tally of the game came in the 109th minute when Alexandra Watkins scored with 1:17 left on the clock. Chelsea Kittleson had the assist. Whitworth will return to action next weekend with a pair of NCAA West Region contests in Tacoma, Washington. The Pirates will play Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday, then face UC Santa Cruz on Sunday.
