SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Whitworth College men's soccer team continued its climb up the NSCAA/adidas Division III poll today, while the Pirate women made their initial appearance in their poll this season. After two road NWC victories over the weekend, Whitworth's men rose to 12th in today's men's poll. The Pirates are 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the NWC. The Bucs were rated 21st in the preseason poll and rose to 14th in last week's edition. Click here for the complete NSCAA/adidas men's poll. Whitworth's women made their 2005 debut at 21st in the rankings. The Pirates (3-1-1 overall, 2-0 NWC) are coming off of key road victories at Willamette and George Fox last weekend, both by 2-0 scores. Click here for the entire NSCAA/adidas women's poll. The Pirates, both men and women, will host Pacific (Ore.) on Saturday and Linfield on Sunday in a pair of Northwest Conference doubleheaders.
