SPOKANE, Wash. -- Whitworth midfielder Ali Seyedali has been selected as a 2006 NSCAA/adidas Division III Men's Third Team All-American and First Team All-Region honoree for the second year in a row.
For the second straight year Seyedali (Sr., MF, Kirkland, Wash. - Lake Washington) led the Pirates in assists with seven. He also had four goals and finished with a team-high total of 15 points. He concludes his career second on Whitworth's all time list of assists with 30. He was a First Team All-Region and Second Team All-America selection in 2005. Seyedali was also a two-time First Team All-Northwest Conference selection, following a Second Team mention as a sophomore. Seyedali led Whitworth to an overall record of 10-5-3 and a conference record of 9-3-2. The Pirates' second place finish in the NWC followed up back to back conference championships.
