SPOKANE, Wash. -- Whitworth midfielder Ali Seyedali has been chosen as the Northwest Conference men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 10-17, according the the September 18 NWC release.

Seyedali (Kirkland, Wash. - Lake Washington) led the Pirates to a pair of wins to open Northwest Conference play. He scored a goal in Whitworth's 3-0 win over George Fox, then added a goal and an assist in the Bucs' 4-1 win over Willamette.

Seyedali was a First Team All-NWC selection and Second Team NSCAA Division III All-American in 2005 when he led the conference in assists and helped lead the team to the NCAA Division III Final Four.

Whitworth is aiming for its third straight conference title. The Pirates are 27-1-2 in NWC games since the 2004 season.
