SPOKANE, Wash. - The Whitworth College Pirates (5-4-3, 4-3-2 NWC) edged George Fox University (3-9, 1-8 NWC) by the score of 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Whitworth Soccer Field.

Ashley Fisk scored the game's only goal

The only goal scored in the game was headed in by the Pirates' Ashley Fisk at 67:18 off a corner kick by Penelope Crowe. The goal marked Fisk's 5th goal of the season.

The Pirates out shot the Bruins 28-4 and also held the advantage in corner kicks 8-1.

George Fox keeper Jessica Cardwell made five saves while Whitworth's Jenn Miller only had to make two.

The Bruins visit Whitman College on Sunday afternoon, while Whitworth hosts the Bearcats of Willamette University at noon.
