Complete box score and play by play SPOKANE, Wash. - Whitworth College (4-4-3, 3-3-2 NWC) got its first win of the month as it outscored Lewis & Clark College (3-6-2, 2-5-1 NWC) 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Whitworth soccer field. Kara Tisthammer scored the first goal for the Pirates at 5:29 off of a flick and a corner kick by Meghan Hudson and Marissa Williams. About three minutes later, at 8:20, Meghan Hudson headed in a goal of her own to make the score 2-0. Marissa Williams tallied her second assist of the day on a free kick from the right side of the box. Lewis & Clark's Stephanie Thurin got the Pioneers within one when she fired a shot into the upper right part of the goal at 35:05. Katie Burnett passed the ball from the right side to the top of the keeper box, giving her the assist. The Pirates came out aggressive in the second half with Katy Jones scoring a goal within the first two minutes, putting Whitworth up 3-1. Erin Nakasone and Tori Crain both assisted on the play. Whitworth was not finished as Ashley Fisk headed in a corner kick from Marissa Williams at 52:40. The Pirate goal ensured a victory and was Willams' third assist of the day. Pioneer keeper Nora Germano saved 11 shots while Whitworth keepers Jen Miller and Krista Dietz only had to make one between them. The Pirates ended the game with 21 shots compared to only two for Lewis & Clark. Lewis & Clark visits Puget Sound and Whitworth
