SPOKANE, Wash. -- Three Whitworth players have been named to 2006 All-Northwest Conference women's soccer team, which was announced today. Jael Hagerott (RS Jr., MF, Spokane, Wash. - Mead) and Greta Thibodeau (Jr., F, Juneau, Alaska - Douglas) were named to the first team, while Penelope Crowe (So., F, Bellingham, Wash. - Bellingham) was an honorable mention honoree.
Hagerott scored eight goals and added three assists this season, totaling 19 points. Four of her goals were match winners, tied for the highest total on the team. Hagerott was also a First Team All-NWC selection in 2003 and 2004. She missed all of last season with a knee injury. Thibodeau led the Pirates in scoring this season with nine goals and five assists (23 points). She ranks third in the NWC in both total points and goals scored. Crowe is the Pirates' third leading scorer with five goals and five assists (15 points). Her assist total is tied for the team lead.
