Dolphay Misses Final on Day 2 at NCAA Swimming Championships

HOUSTON. -- Whitworth's David Dolphay did not advance to the championship or consolation finals of the 200-yard Freestyle on the second day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships today at the University of Houston Aquatic Center.

Dolphay's time of 1:44.77 was 39th in the preliminary heats. The top 16 swimmers advance to the evening session, where the 1-8 swimmers race in the championship finals and the 9-16 swimmers compete in the consolation finals.

Dolphay (Jr., Great Falls, Mont.), who is making his second career appearance at the NCAA Championships, will race again on Saturday in the 1,650-yard Freestyle.
