Pirates Look for Individual Berths to the NCAA Championships
SPOKANE, Wash. - Whitworth, fresh off of a third consecutive Northwest Conference women's tennis title last May, will send eight women to compete at the USTA/ITA Women's Pacific Northwest Fall Championships in Salem, Oregon on Saturday through Monday. Willamette University is hosting the tournament. Winners of the 64-player singles bracket and 32-team doubles bracket advance to the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships, slated for Oct. 13-16 in Mobile, Ala. Saturday's action at Willamette gets underway at 8 a.m. with the first round of singles. Whitworth seniors Alli Marshall and Erica Bosman are expected to be the Pirates' top seeds in the 64-player singles tournament. Marshall Bosman will also play together in the 32-team doubles tournament.
