SPOKANE, Wash. - Linh Aven and Rachael McCoola of the Whitworth women's tennis team have been named to the 2007 All-Northwest Conference Second Team, which was release late yesterday.
Aven (So., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. - Chaffey), who was also a Second Team all-conference honoree last season, finished with a 6-16 record in singles matches, mostly at #2 on the ladder. She had a record of 8-14 as part of the #1 doubles team with Katie Troxell. McCoola (Sr., Durango, Colo. - Durango), who jumped six spots on the Pirates' ladder this season to #1 in singles, had an individual record of 5-16. She teamed with Betsy Johnson to post an 11-8 mark at #2 doubles. The pair led Whitworth to a fifth place Northwest Conference finish in 2007 and an overall record of 10-12. |
