Heptathlon Scores / Decathlon Scores

SPOKANE, Wash. - Ashley Wornell of Northwest Nazarene leads the heptathlon, while Michael Tucker of Whitworth is in first place in the decathlon after the first day of competition at the Whitworth Multi-Event Meet on Thursday afternoon at Boppell Track.

Wornell leads a field of six with a score of 2,516. She had the best mark in the high jump (5'-0.5") and the second best mark in the 100 hurdles (16.14) and shot put (31'-5.75").

Amber Nash of the Community Colleges of Spokane is just behind in second place with 2,506 points. She had the best times in both the 100 hurdles (15.18) and 200 dash (26.57).

Whitworth's Sarah Marken had the best shot put (34'-8.25") and is currently third overall with a score of 2,403.

Tucker leads a small field of three in the decathlon with a score of 2,625. He had the best 100 dash (12.55) and 400 dash (55.54), the best long jump (17'-11.5") and tied with Bob Omlin for the best high jump (5'-0.25"). Omlin had the longest shot put (40'-6"). Toby Schwarz has a score of 1995 and Omlin has a score of 1893 after not being able to finish the 400.

The meet concludes on Friday with events beginning at 10:00 am.
