Kintner Provisionally Qualifies at Bronco Invite

NAMPA, Idaho - Jeff Kinter earned posted a provisional NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship qualifying mark in the 35 pound weight throw on Saturday at the Bronco Indoor Invitational, hosted by Boise State University.

Kintner's mark in the weight throw was 16.74 meters (54'-11.25") for a fourth place finish against primarily NCAA Division I competition. Kintner also finished second in the shot put with a distance of 15.34 meters (50'-4").

Also for the men, Emmanuel Bofa finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.18, while Elorm Atisu was 10th in the 200 (23.08).

Kayla Hughes led the Pirate women by clearing 1.47 meters (4'-9.75") in the high jump.

Whitworth will travel to Moscow, Idaho next weekend to compete in the Vandal Invitational on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and the Runner's Soul Open on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
