Jeff Kintner (Sr., Wenatchee, Wash.) finished in sixth place in the shot put with a distance of 54'-8.75", his second-best mark of the season. It is Kintner's second career All-America finish in the indoor shot put. John Shantzen of St. Olaf College won the event with a throw of 57'-0".

Emmanuel Bofa (Sr., Puyallup, Wash.) competed in the heats of the 800 meter run on Friday, but finished fourth and did not advance to Saturday's final.
