Spokane, Wash. -- Whitworth College remained within a game of first place in the Northwest Conference volleyball standings with a convincing 30-19, 30-28, 30-23 win over visiting George Fox University on Saturday night in the Whitworth Fieldhouse.

Natalie Danielson had 16 kills to lead the Pirates, who improved to 13-3 overall and 6-2 in the NWC. Setter Bekah Hornor had a triple double, finishing with 40 assists, 13 digs and 11 kills. Julie Marsh added 14 kills and a team-high 15 digs for Whitworth.

Linzi Stolsig led George Fox with 11 kills. She was the only Bruin in double figures. Haley Stapleton led all players with 26 digs. Gina Coolen dished 24 assists for George Fox. The Bruins fell to 8-8 overall and 4-4 in the NWC.
