SPOKANE, Wash. -- Junior libero Cassie Moore and senior outside hitter Angie Florence have been recognized by Northwest Conference coaches as members of the 2006 All-NWC Volleyball team, according to the November 6th release of the team by the conference. Moore (Spokane, Wash. - Mead) was selected to the Second Team, while Florence (Yucaipa, Calif. - Yucaipa) was an honorable mention honoree.
Moore averaged 5.43 digs per game, setting school records for digs in a season (521) and in a five-game match with 36. She tied the school record for digs in a three game match with 23. In NWC match-only statistics, she ranked second in the conference with an average of 6.1 digs per game. Florence led the Pirates offensively, averaging 3.42 kills per game. She had a career high 22 kills in wins over Whitman (10/4) and at George Fox (10/21), and reached 20 kills in a match four times this season. The Pirates finished the season with an overall record of 7-20 and were 6-10 in the NWC, finishing tied for fifth place. |
