PORTLAND, Ore. - Whitworth dropped a non-conference volleyball decision at Concordia on Thursday night 30-26, 30-27, 31-29. Sarah Rusch led the Pirates with 13 kills, while Cassie Moore added 12 kills and 14 digs after moving to outside hitter for this match from her usual position of libero. Bethany Castilleja, making her first career start at libero, had 19 digs. Holly Ridings dished 28 assists. The Pirates fell to 9-8, while the NAIA Crusaders improved to 11-10. Whitworth will continue its Portland area road trip on Friday night with a Northwest Conference match at Pacific. |
