"Feeding the Planet and its People: Sustainable Farming as Key"
Florence Reed is the founder of Sustainable Harvest International, a nonprofit organization working with rural Central American communities to implement sustainable farming practices. The founding of this organization stemmed from her time spent as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama in the early nineties. In 2012, Reed was given the National Peace Corps Association’s Shriver Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Service.
