Director: Dale E. Soden, Ph.D., Professor of History
Dale Soden has been the director of the Weyerhaeuser Center since its beginning in 1998. His undergraduate degree is in history from Pacific Lutheran University. His master’s degree and Ph. D. are from the University of Washington in American intellectual history. He is Whitworth’s historian and the author of An Enduring Venture of Mind and Heart: An Illustrated History of Whitworth University. He has published widely on the role of religion and public life in the Pacific Northwest. In 2015, he will publish a new book through the Oregon State University Press.

Program Coordinator: Michelle Pace
Michelle Pace has been with Whitworth since 1994. In 2001, when the college learned it had been given a $2 million grant from the Lilly Foundation to explore issues of vocation and calling, she joined the staff of the Weyerhaeuser Center as its program coordinator. In May 2004, she earned her bachelor's degree in organizational management from Whitworth's continuing studies program.
