Biography: James. D. Miller, Ph.D.
Jim Miller grew up in Wilmington, Del., and was educated at Wheaton College, Princeton Seminary (M.Div.) and the University of Edinburgh (Ph.D. in New Testament studies). He has served congregations in Linithgow, Scotland, and Indianapolis, and since 1992 he has been the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Okla.
Jim’s dissertation on the Pastoral Letters (I,II Timothy and Titus) was published by the Cambridge University Press in 1992. He serves as a trustee at the University of Tulsa and at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
He loves to read, play golf, write hymns, backpack in remote areas and grow friendships.
Jim and his wife, Diane, are blessed with three children: David (19), a sophomore at Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth; Courtaney (17), a senior in high school; and Jonathan (13) an eighth-grader. |
