Whitworth University Orientation 2009
 Welcome, new Whitworthians, to the Land of the Crimson & Black! The traditions of this campus are all around you -– from catching a virgin pine cone as it falls from a tree in The Loop to the wooing ceremonies around the campanile, and on to the cheering from the Booty Club section as we root for the Bucs! The Whitworth Pirates who've gone before you have blazed the way, and they'll guide you through the rough waters ahead as you begin your years here on the Whitworth campus.
Sure, there will be times when it's difficult to hear the voices of your forebears, and you may feel a little seasick at times as you navigate your academic course. But faculty, staff and student leaders, whose hearts bleed Whitworth colors, are ready to assist you as you come aboard this vessel.
We are all excited for your arrival and can't wait to see what the newest Whitworthians will add to this campus. So welcome aboard, all Whitworth Pirates. For the Crimson & Black, the highest honors bring back! Arrrr!
