Anticipated graduation year: 2010 Majors: Cross Cultural Studies; Peace Studies Hometown: Moses Lake, Wash. Whitworth activities/clubs: Colleges Against Cancer, Relay For Life, Small-Group Ministry Program Favorite book: Tess of the D'Urbervilles, by Thomas Hardy Favorite music: Jars of Clay Favorite quote: "The greatest sin of humanity is indifference." Favorite off-campus study program experience: Central America Study Program 2008. You learn the real meaning of community as you simultaneously experience the pains, struggles, joys and hopes of the Central American people. Best class: Nonviolent Defense & Conflict Resolution, in which we learned the concepts behind nonviolence and how it is applicable to everyday life. Favorite residence hall: What? What? Warren! Where else could I live with 200 of my best friends and Tyler Pau? Best Whitworth moment or experience: Jim Hunt's final lecture ever in History of Latin America – I was honored to be a part of that class, and I'm so thankful for his heart and passion for justice in Latin America and the world. Activities/clubs/events that students shouldn't miss: Colleges Against Cancer! Make a difference in the fight against cancer as you raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Also, join Good Deeds for Trees. I've never had the time, but always wanted to be a part of this club that helps enable us to care for creation. And make sure you join a small group in your dorm! What I plan to do after graduation: I plan to volunteer for a few years with AmeriCorps or some other volunteer program. After that, I plan to pursue a master's degree in business administration, which will equip me to be an administrator of a nonprofit organization.
