Tae Hun LeeAnticipated graduation year: 2012 Majors: History; Biochemistry; Biophysics Hometowns: Seoul, Korea and Puyallup, Wash. Whitworth activities/clubs: Intramural volleyball, Pre-med/science club, and undergraduate biochemistry research Favorite book: It varies... I really enjoy classic Russian literature; I think that Dostoevsky is arguably one of the best authors in history. I'm also a huge fan of modern narratives, such as, Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi and The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. So, I guess it depends on what my interests are at the moment. Favorite food: A chicken burrito from the taco bus by my house. Favorite movie: Forrest Gump Favorite thing about Whitworth: The amazing faculty. The professors here make themselves available. They are kind, humble, and inviting. I am so thankful for the professors here. Favorite residence hall: Balwin-Jenkins. I may be biased towards it because it was my home dorm. Nevertheless, I think that it's a great place to meet people. Favorite thing about Spokane: It's a small-big city. I kind of like that. It's not so crowded, but it has all the amenities of a city. It's nice to have minimal traffic driving down the street. It's nice to have clean air. It's nice to have decent living costs. I also think that the part of Spokane that the campus is in is very beautiful. Why I chose to attend Whitworth: I am a Presbyterian. I thought Whitworth's stance on major issues was in line with my views. I knew I would get a good education here. Advice for incoming students: Plan your time well. I'm super serious! Budget your time for socializing and schoolwork. I think that time management is the key to success in college. Good luck, guys! What I plan to do after graduation: I hope to go onto graduate school in medicine. |
