Favorite book: Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card

Favorite music: Alternative rock; my favorite band is Switchfoot

Favorite movie: Donnie Darko

Favorite thing about Whitworth: You just can't get any better than the community at Whitworth. The atmosphere of the campus is so welcoming and friendly.

Favorite residence hall: Duvall, because I've lived there for two years and I'm going to live there next year, too. It's also very new and just plain amazing.

I like my major because... computer science more or less runs the world these days. So many things that people interact with today have some form of computer architecture and programming behind them. So many jobs rely on computer software. I'm glad to be within a field that I know can help people in so many ways.

Research/special projects I'm involved in: I'm involved in a project called ADATT, which is an autism-patient data-analysis system for evaluating and tracking an autism patient's progress.

Advice for incoming students: Get involved with something at Whitworth. It'll make your experience here much more enjoyable and worthwhile.

What I plan to do after graduation: I'm not quite sure yet. Either I'm going to jump into the computer software industry and, I hope, work for someone like Microsoft, or I'm going to head to graduate school for a master's degree in computer science.
