Participant Instructions

Each team has two people, who "compete" by earning points each week for activities that benefit the environment and community in a variety of ways. Points are earned through daily and weekly actions that are reinforced throughout the challenge, and through one-time actions and educational events addressing several topics: transportation, energy, waste, consumption, water, and ecological footprint.

Start planning how you'll be more sustainable:

  1. Register your two-person team at www.whitworth.edu/sustainability/register.
  2. Complete the Daily, Weekly and One-Time actions each week.
  3. Attend any or all of the Sustainability Challenge Events
  4. Create and complete your Personal Improvement Goals.
  5. Complete your previous week's score sheet. Each teammate submits his/her own score sheet. All score sheets need to be received by Monday, April 28, 5 p.m. to earn maximum points. (Click here to get an overview of all available points)

If you are unsure about any part of the Sustainability Challenge, please do not hesitate to call Alan Jacob at 509.777.3250 or e-mail him at sustainability@whitworth.edu.
