In an effort to encourage the Whitworth community's continued involvement in sustainability, the university is hosting a Sustainability Challenge April 13-May 1. The challenge is open to two-person teams comprising anyone associated with Whitworth University, including students, faculty, administrators, staff, Sodexo employees and outside vendors.

1. Bill Robinson signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment and the National Association of Evangelicals statement on climate change, committing Whitworth to move toward carbon neutrality. :: MORE
Whitworth participates in Spokane County's commute-trip–reduction program encouraging employees to use alternatives other than driving alone to work. Whitworth's green commuters have made a significant impact in the first three months of their year.
