Marketing Internship
As an intern you will assist the Area Manager and Skyhawks staff with daily tasks such as: helping with administrative duties, data entry, research and public relations. You will also be assigned to special projects to assist in development, production, implementation and review as well as promotional ideas and implementations.

Summer Interns (2)
Our summer internship program seeks to accomplish several purposes:
1. Provide a learning environment that benefits the Kingdom of God through training future leaders and continuing Jesus Christ’s earthly mission.
2. Provide a learning experience that benefits the intern through exposure to a vital, growing church, its staff, elders, deacons and congregation members.
3. Provide a focused proving ground for testing gifts and applying them in the life of the church.
4. Provide a rich environment for fulfilling educational requirements.

Description of Duties/Responsibilities – What you’ll be asked to do!
The intern will work primarily in the area of Student Ministry, under the direct supervision of the Associate Pastor of Christian Education & Discipleship. As such the intern will be involved in all aspects of mission and ministry to students including but not limited to the following duties:
1. Direct involvement in the weekly planning, promotion, and leadership of middle school and high school youth group.
2. Direct involvement in the planning, promotion, and leadership of special events for both middle school and high school.
3. Participation in the Summer Mission Trip to New York City.
4. Weekly planning and teaching in the Sunday morning program
5. Occasional participation and leadership in Sunday morning worship.
6. Participation in weekly meeting of church staff.
7. Weekly informal contact with middle school and high school students.
8. Weekly involvement in spiritual disciplines (prayer, scripture study, worship, etc.)
9. Weekly gathering with Associate Pastor for study, reflection, evaluation, and training. This time will include directed study of several texts related to ministry with students.
10. At the end of the internship prepare a summary evaluation of the intern experience including any recommendations for change and improvement of the experience.

New Hope’s Responsibilities – What you can expect from us!
1. Supervision: The summer intern will be under the direct supervision of the Associate Pastor of Christian Education & Discipleship – Erik Holm. Supervision will consist of weekly meetings for planning, support, evaluation and spiritual growth.
2. Training: New Hope will seek to provide the intern with a variety of experiences that will enable the exploration of different skills and gifts related to ministry in a congregational setting. Interns are not expected to come in and run the show, but rather they will work alongside those already in ministry.
3. Compensation: New Hope will provide a modest stipend as well as housing for the intern with a family in our congregation. Further details regarding compensation can be found under Terms of Service & Compensation.





Marketing/PR/Communication Specialist
Assist with general marketing activities to include marketing design, event coordination and promotion, market research,
general administrative duties to include management of registration process and data base management

Assist President with development of marketing campaigns








Camp Counselor - Day Camp
Lead, guide, and provide activity leadership for 6-8 campers of similar age group in camp activities, group living, and personal development.

Camp is for boys and girls, grades K - 9 and preschoolers, Camp capacity is 200 youth per week. Campers attend one or more sessions and some attend all summer. Two sessions provide opportunities for children with special needs. Campers are grouped by grade level and assigned to a shelter. Ages of camper groups vary each session. Preschool program structure varies slightly.

Program

The summer is divided into 11 one-week sessions. Campers enjoy progression-based programming in outdoor skills, swimming, and specialized activities. Staff Team Lead - Day Camp
Supervise up to 5 counselors. Coach and mentor staff to form positive connections with campers. Provide program support in a specialty area (Archery/Challenge Course, Outdoor Skills, Arts & Crafts).

Pool Director
Supervise swimming programs, staff, and facility maintenance. Communicate with parents, strictly enforce health & safety rules, and implement non-swim programs during inclement weather.

Summer Field Interns
Responsibilities: increasing public awareness about George Fearing, volunteer recruitment/management, being part of an advance team for public events, any and all other duties assoc. with the campaign. College credit will be avail for all interns. Interns showing flexibility, capability, willingness to give 100% may also be offered a stipend.




Seattle Children's Theatre Drama School
Be one of 15 interns to assist in teaching classes of creative drama, acting, and special interest. Supervise the students during breaks and the "pick-up/drop-off" points in order to get the students to class. Some interns may rotate in the Theatre Arts Splash teaching art, movement, and creative drama to ages 4-9.



Senior High Ministries Intern
General Responsibilities:
- To provide leadership and support in Senior High Ministries
- To lead in the spiritual development of senior high students

The FPC Sr High Student Ministries Program involves students from our church and reaches out to students from the community. The core of the ministry are the D-Groups. Currently 15 D-Groups involve about 150 students. We are also committed to creating an authentic community, opportunities for deep discipleship, and mission work locally and globally.

The Sr High Intern partners with the Director of Student ministries, the adult leadership team, and the student leadership team, to:
- embrace students with Christ's Good News,
- support a community where that embrace can be shared
- embrace the world with Christ's love, grace, and Good News

Specific responsibilities include:
- Attend and participate in all programmed events
- Help plan, implement and lead the weekly Praxis gathering
- Help plan, implement and lead the Sunday Morning program
- Lead a discipleship group
- Support the discipleship program
- Help lead a once a month leader's support, prayer, and planning meeting
- Spend time with students doing contact work and discipleship
- Help plan and implement retreats
- Help plan and implement 2 mission trips each year
- Support the Student Leadership Team
- Help plan and implement local mission and service involvement
- Work with parent support teams when needed
- Take on administrative responsibilities as needed
- Help plan, implement and lead freshmen assimilation

Accountability is directly to the Director of Student Ministries. The Senior High staff will also work closely with the Junior High staff and other areas of ministry in the church, especially the Sunday evening worship service.

This is a full time position which is usually filled with recent college graduates.



Jr. High Intern
Provide leadership and support in Junior High ministries. Lead the spiritual development of the Junior High students.



Summer Construction Positions
Work on construction projects serving the Greater Spokane Community, such as low income housing, food banks, day care centers, and community centers



Media Specialist
Digital still and video photography, daily website updates, weekly production of a "keepsake" video, and an end of season promotional video.



Launching Career Internship
Are you a December graduate who could use some help jump-starting his or her job search or transition to graduate school? If so, we want to remind you of The Washington Center's spring Postgraduate Professional Development Program (PPDP). It's made for recent graduates and helps them to explore career options, gain valuable on-the-job experience, and network with prospective employers. Students have many special advantages just as a result of interning in Washington, with its highly professional workforce, uniquely diverse and strong job market, and fast-breaking opportunities.

Although the stated deadline is November 14, we will still accept applications after that date; but we need to hear from interested students soon so we will have time to find an appropriate placement.

The PPDP program is designed for those who have finished a bachelor's degree within the last 18 months or are enrolled in a graduate program. If accepted, The Washington Center will work with them to find a full-time, 15-week internship, tailored to their interests. The placement will be substantive, and could be in a governmental, nonprofit, corporate or international setting.

Students will work four and one half days per week and attend professional development workshops on resume-writing, interviewing, and various other topics. They will also have access to insider briefings on opportunities for employment in the federal government and on further study in area graduate and professional programs. They will be able, if they want, to audit one of our courses and take advantage of other Washington Center speakers and events, too.

Northwest Programs Support Intern
The position will be split between on hill and office responsibilities.
On hill days will consist of coordinating youth groups from various youth agencies throughout Washington. Your responsibilities may include:

Provide resources for youth groups;

Coordinate details with host resorts;

Provide resorts with agency information;

Collect social and demographic data from participants;
Office hours will be spent coordinating all program logistics:

Hire and train of seasonal staff;

Student registration;

Maintain clothing and hardgoods inventory;

Entry of program data into the online database;

Assistance with marketing and special events

NASPE intern
The National Association of Sport and Physical Education is a nonprofit professional organization comprised of individuals engaged in the study of human movement and the delivery of sport and physical activity programs. An intern gains valuable experience working in the various aspects of a national organization, while developing a network of professional contacts. Interns perform many of the administrative duties necessary to conduct the business of a national organization, meet member needs, promote association growth and recognition, and produce quality publications and documents.



Athletic Training and ATC's for Gymanstic Camp
International Gymnastics Camp needs Athletic Training Students and ATC's to work at a weekly gymnastics camp. Come to Stroudsburg, PA to have the summer of your life! This is a great opportunity to learn a lot and meet some amazing people from around the world. There are a little more than 400 campers there each week, ages 7-17, and there are usually at least two ATC's and three ATS's for all 10 weeks. The camp provides free housing and free meals and no gymnastics experience is needed.

Technical Support
Great Northwest Athletic Conference is accepting applications for an 11 month, paid internship for Technical Support. Position would provide support to the 10 conference member institutions and the conference office in the area of computer programs. Provide direct support for the digital game film exchange program (XOS) and the conference video streaming program. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary. An understanding of college sports is preferred. Position would also entail producing reports and other duties as assigned. Prefer two to three hours per day, five days a week. Flexible scheduling will be considered. Some travel may be required. Vacation time provided during holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, Spring Break, etc). Position is open until filled. Start immediately.
