The Choir Today Under Mr. Hafso the Whitworth Choir has received many distinct honors. After submitting an audition recording during the 2006-2007 school year, the choir received a coveted invitation to the American Choral Directors Association regional convention. The choir attended the convention in February 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The choir will also tour internationally in May 2009 when it visits and performs in Argentina and Uruguay. Throughout its many years in existence, the choir has continued a vision articulated more than 100 years ago by the institution’s founder that Whitworth would be “the leading institution for the study of music in the state of Washington.”
