November 16, 1999 African Children's Choir to Perform at Whitworth College In addition to delighting audiences with its beautiful music, the African Children's Choir, comprised of 22 children from East Africa, performs to raise awareness of disadvantaged children in Africa, and to generate support for projects that have been established to help these children. The choir, which is on tour throughout North America, will perform songs from their homeland Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. in Cowles Memorial Auditorium at Whitworth College. The event is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be taken to support the choir.
