Greg Orwig Joins Whitworth College as Director of Communications

Greg Orwig recently joined Whitworth College as its director of communications. In this newly created position, Orwig is serving as the chief communications and marketing officer for the college. His responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive integrated marketing and communications strategy for all campus outreach activities, including publications, media relations, advertising, broadcast media, event planning and the web.

Before coming to Whitworth, Orwig was a public relations manager for the University of Washington, in Seattle. He has also worked as a public information officer for Texas A&M University, and as a reporter for a variety of daily newspapers.

Orwig holds a master's of public administration from the University of Washington and a B.A. in journalism and Spanish from Whitworth College.
