Whitworth Hosting President of PACCAR for 2000 Fosseen Lecture
Who: PACCAR President David Hovind is the Whitworth Graduate School of International Management's 2000 Fosseen Distinguished Speaker in International Management. Hovind has served 36 years with PACCAR, an $8 billion company based in Bellevue, Wash., that manufactures and sells trucks around the world under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates. After working in various executive positions within the Kenworth and Peterbilt divisions, Hovind has been heavily involved in PACCAR's international business growth and development as president and director of PACCAR, Inc., and president of the board for PACCAR Mexico, S.A. de C.V.
What: As the 2000 Fosseen Speaker of International Management, Hovind will deliver a lecture, "The Career Choice is not Old Economy vs. New Economy." Preceded by a dinner and reception, the lecture is sponsored by Neil R. Fosseen, an internationally recognized business and civic leader who has generously supported education in Washington State, including the Whitworth Graduate School of International Management.
