November 19, 2001 Whitworth Presents 2001 Christmas Festival Concert The 15th annual Whitworth College Christmas Festival Concert, Sing We Noël, will feature the award-winning Whitworth Choir as well as performances by the Whitworth Chamber Singers; Trouvères, the college's women's choir; the Whitworth Brass and Percussion Ensemble; and the Whitworth Saxophone Quartet. The concert will be directed by Bryan Priddy, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music, and Deborah Hansen, associate professor of music. The concert is based on the Anglican service of lessons and carols. In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the touring Whitworth Christmas Festival Concerts, several favorite songs from past Christmas programs will be performed. The concert will also include new songs that represent various world cultures and responses to the Christmas story. Choral and instrumental music will be augmented by readings from scripture and liturgical sources. The 2001 Christmas Festival Concert will be held in four cities in Washington state. Following is concert information for each location: Tacoma Bellevue Seattle Spokane Tickets may be available to purchase at the door prior to the scheduled concert in each city.
