Whitworth Theatre Students to Present "Broadway Unbound 2003"

Theatregoers can enjoy an evening of Broadway during Whitworth College's presentation of "Broadway Unbound 2003, An Evening of Theatre" on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, at 8 p.m. in Cowles Auditorium at Whitworth, located at 300 W. Hawthorne Road. Admission is $1. For more information, please call (509) 777-3707.

"Broadway Unbound 2003" is a Theatre Department production, showcasing talented students who dance, act and perform in theatre classes at Whitworth. Students participating in the performance have completed classes including Jazz II, Musical Theatre Dance, Acting I and II, and Performance Theory. Adjunct Theatre Professor Suzanne Ostersmith, Associate Professor of Theatre Diana Trotter, and Professor of Theatre Rick Hornor coordinated and are directing the program.

"The talent at Whitworth is amazing," Hornor says. "Audience members will see dancing and acting of extremely high quality. The arts and terrific artists are alive and well."

Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The college enrolls 2,200 students in more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs.
