Whitworth to Host Jan. 24 Gospel Explosion Concert Honoring Martin Luther King, Jr.

WHO: Church choirs from around the region, as well as the acclaimed Carnegie-Hall-bound Rogers High School Choir, will join voices in worship and in tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., for the 2003 Gospel Explosion at Whitworth College.

WHAT: Organized by Whitworth's Black Student Union, the annual Gospel Explosion concert brings students and members of the community together for a spirited worship experience and celebration. This marks the first year that the concert will also serve as a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., in honor of the slain civil rights leader's birthday.
