Great Decisions Series to Feature Lecture on Nigeria
The 46th annual Great Decisions lecture series at Whitworth College features five speakers who focus on political, cultural and economic subjects of interest to the international community. The program explores issues Americans can expect to encounter in a post-9/11 world.
The fourth lecture of the 2003 series will feature Maria Beebe, who will address "Current Issues in Nigeria." The lecture will take place Thursday, March 20, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Music Building Recital Hall at Whitworth College. The lecture is free and open to the public. The lecture series background book, Great Decisions 2003, is available at the Whitworth Bookstore. For more information, please call (509) 777-3270.
Beebe holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and has extensive experience working in Africa. She is currently on the staff of Washington State University's Center to Bridge the Digital Divide.
