Whitworth Presents 2004 Christmas Festival Concert, The 2004 Whitworth College Christmas Festival Concert, Magnificat - We Magnify the Lord, will feature the Whitworth Choir and the college's women's chorus, Trouvères, with the assistance of brass, string and percussion ensembles. The concert will include readings by narrator and Whitworth Theatre Professor Emeritus Pat Stien, as well as music and congregational carols for advent and Christmas. The performance will also include Jean Berger's lively Magnificat for soprano solo, mixed chorus, flute and tambourine. The Magnificat is the Canticle of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Luke 1:46-55, one of three evangelical canticles found in the first two chapters of theGospel of Luke. The Whitworth Christmas Festival Concert will take place in Seattle, Bellevue and Spokane. Following is concert information for each location: When: Saturday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. Where: First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, 1717 Bellevue Way NE. Seattle : When: Sunday, December 5, at 3 p.m. Where: First Presbyterian Church of Seattle, 1013 Eighth Ave. Tickets: $15 general admission. Tickets for the Seattle and Bellevue concerts can be purchased by calling 1-800-532-4668. A limited number of tickets may also be available to purchase at the door prior to the scheduled concert in each city. When: Friday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Where: First Presbyterian Church, 318 South Cedar St., Spokane Tickets: $15 general admission.
